The Ram 50 was getting close to needing major component replacement. The rear end developed a tapping noise and the fuel tank leaked at the seam.

Plus I'm going to be taking a new job with a 100mi round-trip commute, and needed something that was comfortable at Interstate speeds (the truck was happiest around 55mph), had cruise control (truck did not), and I wouldn't feel bad pounding a lot of miles on.
